Sugar Free Chocolate Granola

This homemade chocolate granola beats any store bought option in so many ways. It is refined sugar free, made from whole grains and it is absolutely delicious. Feel free to add whatever nuts ans seeds you like.s I love to eat this crunchy granola with oat milk, fresh berries and a few spoons of greek yogurt.

Ingredients

(1 baking tray)

200g old fashioned/ rolled oats

70ml maple syrup

2 heaped tbsp. natural cocoa powder

30ml vegetable oil (like coconut oil or rape seed)

50g dried cranberries (unsweetened)

4 tbsp cocoa nibs

50g nuts

a pinch of salt

Method

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees C.

Roughly chop the nuts and transfer them into a large bowl. Mix with all the other dry ingredients, except for the cranberries. Add maple syrup and oil. Stir until everything is well combined.

Spread the mixture on a lined baking tray.

Place it in the oven for about 20- 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. After the first 10 minutes add the cranberries.

Keep in mind that the granola will harden a little more when it is cooling down, so don’t be tempted to leave it in the oven for too long.

Let the granola cool down completely and store in an air tight container. Use within 2-3 weeks. Enjoy!
